What Is Inside

Seven chapters. Seven laws. One covenant, older than Sinai.

OPENING

Foreword · The Covenant with Noah

Who this book is for, and why the Torah's first covenant was made not with a nation but with every family on earth. Genesis 9 read slowly, verse by verse.

LAW I

One God

עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה

The prohibition of idolatry — what it forbids, what it does not, and how the Sages derive it from a single word in Genesis 2:16.

LAW II

Honor His Name

בִּרְכַּת הַשֵּׁם

The prohibition of blasphemy — reverence for the Name, and the discipline of the tongue.

LAW III

The Sanctity of Life

שְׁפִיכוּת דָּמִים

"Whoever sheds the blood of man…" — the image of God in every person, and what it demands of us.

LAW IV

The Sanctity of Family

גִּלּוּי עֲרָיוֹת

The boundaries of intimacy as a covenant of the household — the ancient law read for a modern home.

LAW V

What Is Not Yours

גָּזֵל

Theft in all its disguises — from the marketplace to the workplace to a borrowed word.

LAW VI

Mercy to Every Creature

אֵבֶר מִן הַחַי

The one law added at the Flood — the limb of a living animal — and the compassion it plants in a person.

LAW VII

Justice in the Gates

דִּינִים

The duty to establish courts — why a society, not just a soul, is commanded.

"And the LORD God commanded the man, saying: of every tree of the garden you may surely eat." — the verse from which the Sages draw six of the seven laws.
GENESIS 2:16
TALMUD
"Our Rabbis taught: the children of Noah were commanded seven laws — courts, blasphemy, idolatry, sexual immorality, bloodshed, theft, and the limb of a living animal."
BABYLONIAN TALMUD, SANHEDRIN 56a
MAIMONIDES
"Whoever accepts the seven laws and is careful to keep them is among the pious of the nations of the world, and has a share in the World to Come."
MISHNEH TORAH, LAWS OF KINGS 8:11

Questions

Is this book trying to convert me?

No. The Seven Laws are precisely what the Torah asks of people who are not Jewish. The book's whole point is that you do not need to become anything to stand in covenant with the God of Israel — you have stood in it since Noah.

Is it authentic, or someone's interpretation?

Every chapter cites chapter and verse: the Torah, the Talmud (tractate Sanhedrin 56a–59a), and Maimonides' Mishneh Torah (Laws of Kings, chapters 8–10). The Hebrew originals are printed in full in the appendix so you can check us.

Is it hard to read?

It was written for a first-time reader. 66 pages, one law per chapter, one chapter a night. You need no Hebrew — every Hebrew text is accompanied by our English rendering.

Why a physical book?

Because a covenant is meant to be kept, not scrolled past. It is printed on cream paper and made to be read aloud, kept at home, and passed on.

How is it shipped?

Each copy is printed to order. Estimated delivery: 5–8 business days from ordering. Free US shipping; $12 international shipping.

What if it isn't for me?

Open it. Read a chapter. If it does not move you, send it back within 30 days for a full refund.

30-DAY GUARANTEE

Open the Book. If It Doesn't Move You, Send It Back.

We are confident enough in the text to make that promise without conditions.
